Ten years of expertise
in the wilderness
Koen's adventurous journey began at the age of 17 when he became a paratrooper. Here, he learned not only about physical and mental limits but also how to overcome them. His military background provided the perfect foundation for his later work as a guide and motivator in nature. From navigating with map and compass to surviving with minimal resources, Koen developed unparalleled expertise in survival techniques.
Over the years, Koen has led expeditions in some of the most extreme areas of the world: deserts (Sahara, Atacama, and Namibia), rainforests (the vast Amazon region and the cold rainforest of Patagonia), mountains (Himalayas, Andes, Tian Shan, and Carpathians), and Arctic regions (Lapland).
