Meet Koen De Leeuw - former Para Commando, certified Wilderness First Responder, and leadership coach. With over a decade of experience - including his role as lead guide in De Expeditie (Play4) in Namibia and Patagonia - Koen leads expeditions through some of the world’s most extreme environments. His approach blends military precision with a human-centered focus on personal growth.

Safety comes first
At Element X, safety is the foundation of every expedition. Our journeys are led by professionally trained guides with WFR/First Aid certifications who have years of experience in extreme environments.
Each expedition is equipped with satellite phones and GPS tracking, ensuring constant connectivity and real-time updates. Before departure, we conduct a thorough risk analysis of the route and environment, and we prepare a comprehensive evacuation plan with 4x4 vehicles and helicopter support.
