Military expertise - human approach
Meet Koen De Leeuw - former Para Commando, certified Wilderness First Responder, and leadership coach. With over a decade of experience - including his role as lead guide in De Expeditie (Play4) in Namibia and Patagonia - Koen leads expeditions through some of the world’s most extreme environments. His approach blends military precision with a human-centered focus on personal growth.
Every journey is designed to challenge, transform, and strengthen entrepreneurs and leaders, pushing them to their edge safely and with purpose. Koen acts as both expedition leader - your rock in the wild - and mentor, supporting your mental journey every step of the way.
Personal preparation program
At Element X, we know that every adventure starts long before you enter the wild. That’s why we invest in a comprehensive personal preparation program that sets you up for success. Every participant begins with a detailed mental and physical intake - including a lactate test - to tailor the experience to your fitness level and personal goals.
From there, we build a custom training plan with weekly milestones and group accountability, ensuring you’re physically and mentally ready for the challenge ahead. You’ll also receive gear, technical, and food training - plus exclusive online survival skills videos - so you arrive fully prepared, confident, and ready to thrive in any environment.
Safety comes first
Bij Element X is veiligheid de basis van elke expeditie. Onze tochten worden begeleid door professioneel opgeleide gidsen met WFR- en EHBO-certificering en jarenlange ervaring in extreme omstandigheden.
Elke expeditie is uitgerust met satelliettelefoons en GPS-tracking, wat zorgt voor constante verbinding en realtime updates. Voor vertrek voeren we een grondige risicoanalyse uit van de route en omgeving, en stellen we een uitgebreid evacuatieplan op met 4x4-voertuigen en helikopterondersteuning.
Vanaf het moment dat je de wildernis betreedt tot aan de laatste stap van je reis is elk detail zorgvuldig voorbereid. Zo kun je je volledig richten op het avontuur, persoonlijke groei en het aangaan van elke uitdaging – zelfs wanneer de route onverwacht verandert.

EXPEDITION - LAPLAND
Together with 8 other entrepreneurs, you'll be dropped by helicopter into the Arctic wilderness.
You’ll build snow caves, learn to make fire in extreme conditions and navigate through the unknown.
