What is the KMO portefeuille?
The KMO Portefeuille is a Flemish government initiative that provides financial support to entrepreneurs for training and consultancy programs that contribute to business growth and professionalization.
This means that as an entrepreneur, you can receive up to 30% subsidy for courses from registered service providers like Element X.

How much subsidy can you receive?
The subsidy amount depends on the size of your company
Small businesses
(fewer than 50 employees, turnover or balance sheet max. €10 million) receive 30% subsidy, up to a maximum of €7,500 per year.
Medium-sized businesses
(up to 250 employees, turnover max. €50 million, or balance sheet max. €43 million) receive 20% subsidy, up to a maximum of €7,500 per year.
Important: The subsidy only applies to the course fee. Travel and accommodation costs are not included.
How to apply for the
KMO portefeuille subsidy?
Applying for the subsidy is simple and follows these steps

Completion & certification
Sign up for one of our recognized programs and receive an invoice.
āSubmit your request via the VLAIO website and select Get Out There BV (Element X) as the registered provider (DV.O252366).
Deposit your contribution (excl. VAT) into your KMO Portefeuille account; the government adds the subsidy. Pay the VAT directly to the provider.
After receiving the subsidy, the amount is transferred to the provider from your KMO Portefeuille account upon your approval.
Once the payment is completed, you can participate in the program and start developing your leadership skills.
After successfully completing the course, you’ll receive a certificate of participation.
