Expedition Lapland

 ESCAPE THE ARCTIC 2027

Expedition Lapland

“An 8-day off-grid wilderness expedition for entrepreneurs and high performers – featuring helicopter drop, snow caves, frozen lakes, and pure Arctic silence.”

This is an expedition for people who really want to step out of their comfort zone. No paths, no certainties. Just a raw and intensely physical trek through the Arctic region - straight out of no man's land after a helicopter drop.

Imagine: an endless white plain, mighty coniferous forests dis-appearing into the horizon, the thin air of the Far North, and a silence that feels almost extraterrestrial.

During this Lapland expedition, you step into a world where cold, wind, and emptiness set the rules. It is a place where nothing distracts you, except your own breathing and the crunch of snow beneath your feet.

The story of
this expedition

You fly to Arctic Lapland. From there, you trek deeper into the Far North, up to the helicopter. And then comes the moment that changes everything: you ascend, the world disappears beneath you, and you are dropped into a vast expanse of frozen wilderness where no one lives and where silence prevails.

From that moment on, the real adventure begins - completely off-grid, self-sufficient and entirely reliant on teamwork, trust and collective decision-making.

On foot, you trek with snowshoes through mighty taiga forests, over ridges and frozen lakes. You learn to navigate without landmarks - using compass, intuition, distance and decision-making. The terrain constantly changes and demands constant focus: from hard snow to deep powder, from dense forest to open white-out zones.

The Arctic is both fair and merciless. Temperatures below zero, wind that suddenly picks up, infinite silence that becomes almost loud. This is the place where you learn to trust in your own abilities, your team and your preparation. You feel how resilience, calmness and clarity emerge when you are brought back to the essence.

We cross several lakes, learning to read, assess and feel the ice. Sometimes you carry your pulka, sometimes you pull it along. Everything is thoroughly prepared - but it remains real. Here you learn to decide, anticipate and collaborate in conditions that slow everything down while sharpening everything at the same time.

One of the most memorable moments: we teach you how to build a snow cave to sleep in. No signal. No comfort. Just silence, snow and body temperature turning a cave into a warm cocoon. An experience you will never forget.

We consciously choose late February - early March: a period with sufficient daylight and snow reliability, which is important for our expedition.

Self-sufficient -
but never alone

As soon as we start, we find ourselves off-grid. We filter water from rivers, cook our freeze-dried expedition food, and set up our camps in places where nature allows.

You will learn survival basics, energy management, navigation, and outdoor decision-making under the guidance of an experienced X-Guide whom you will meet well in advance during the preparation process.

Safety & guidance

Safety is the foundation of every Element X expedition. Our X-Guides are professionally trained, hold WFR certificates, and have years of experience in extreme conditions.

Each expedition is equipped with satellite phones, GPS tracking, clear safety procedures, a detailed evacuation plan, and local support in Lapland.

Before departure, we also conduct a thorough risk analysis and prepare everything down to the last detail.
