Why?
Our expeditions are intense, raw and completely off-grid. To complete them in a safe and powerful way, a solid preparation process is necessary.
Not as a hurdle, but as a foundation.
Every participant makes the same journey: first becoming physically and mentally stronger, then entering the wilderness.
The process starts between three and six months before the expedition, with a minimum of three months - so that your body, mindset and equipment are perfectly prepared.

During this first session, we will go over the equipment and packing list, you will have an initial group moment to get to know your fellow participants, and we will provide technical information about the terrain, the weather, and possible scenarios. We will also make all practical arrangements so that you can leave with a clear mind.

Core stability / strength
We test the stability and strength of your torso, hips, and legs. This determines how much weight you can safely carry, how your body reacts to uneven terrain, and how well you can maintain your intensity.
Mobility
We analyse the range of motion of your joints and muscles. Good mobility is essential for long distances, carrying a heavy backpack, cold conditions, and technical sections.
Lactate test / fitness
We measure how your body physiologically responds to exertion through lactate levels at rest and at increasing intensities. This way, we determine how we can build your fitness most efficiently.

Preparing (or shivering) for the unknown
We train the body in temperature regulation and resilience. Therefore, during the preparation process, we work with ice baths and saunas, depending on the expedition.
Through controlled exposure to cold and heat, your body learns to cope with stress, recovery, and fluctuations in temperature. At home, you can continue this training through cold showers and warm baths, so that your body gradually adapts to the conditions of the expedition.
