Helicopter drop into pure wilderness

“A 10-day off-grid wilderness expedition for entrepreneurs and high performers who consciously want to push their physical limits - with a helicopter drop, glaciers, packrafting and pure Patagonian wilderness.”

“A 10-day off-grid wilderness expedition for entrepreneurs and high performers who consciously want to push their physical limits - with a helicopter drop, glaciers, packrafting and pure Patagonian wilderness.”

This is an expedition for people who really want to go deep. No paths, no certainties. Just a pure, raw and exclusive trek through the rugged heart of Patagonia.

Imagine: towering glaciers, endless valleys, crystal-clear lakes and a ruggedness that feels as if the world has only just been created here.

During Expedition Patagonia, you will be immersed in one of the most unspoiled landscapes on earth - a place where wind, ice and water set the rules, and where silence speaks louder than words.

The story of this expedition

From Brussels, you travel to the southwest of Chile. And then comes the moment that makes this expedition unique: you are dropped by helicopter into an immense and deserted natural area - far away from any route, path or sign of civilisation. From then on, the real adventure begins: completely off-grid, self-sufficient and surrounded by wilderness that feels almost extraterrestrial.

On foot, you trek through unspoiled valleys, over mountain ridges, alongside glacier tongues, and through cold rainforests. The terrain constantly changes: from hard steppe to soft mud, from moss fields to boulders, from open landscapes to densely overgrown passages. Every day feels like a new world.

Patagonia is known for its lakes with unreal blue water. You cross them with your packraft, navigate through narrow channels, and traverse icy rivers that come straight from the glacier. This is raw, pure, and incredibly beautiful.

Patagonia experiences four seasons in one hour. Gusts of wind, sun breaking through suddenly, rain falling horizontally. It is precisely this that makes the expedition so authentic. You learn to decide, adapt, and anticipate in the wilderness.

We consciously choose January: the window in which Patagonia is most accessible. Fewer extreme storms, longer days, and just enough stability - because there is already abundant unpredictability as a natural law.

Self-sufficient -
but never alone

As soon as we start, we find ourselves off-grid. We filter water from rivers, cook our freeze-dried expedition food, and set up our camps in places where nature allows.

You learn survival basics, energy management, navigation, and outdoor decision-making under the guidance of an experienced X-Guide whom you meet well in advance during the preparation process.

Safety & guidance

Safety is the foundation of every Element X expedition. Our X-Guides are professionally trained, possess WFR certificates and have
years of experience in extreme conditions.

Each expedition is equipped with satellite phones, GPS tracking, clear safety procedures, a detailed evacuation plan, and local support in Patagonia.

Before departure, we also conduct a thorough risk analysis and prepare everything down to the
last detail.

1. Self-sufficient
2. Safety & guidance

No one steps

unprepared into
the unknown.

The preparation process
(min. 3 - 6 months in advance)
always consists of:

  • a group briefing with
    physical analysis

  • a personalised training schedule

  • technical and resilience training

  • a session on equipment, nutrition, and sleep setup

  • a final physical check-in

  • Preparation process

You step into nature, off the beaten path, yet always with the assurance of experienced guidance and safety as the top priority.
