ATLANTIC CROSSING - SAILING EXPEDITION
Across the ocean
This is an expedition for people who want to experience what it means to truly break free from everything that is familiar. Far away from land, infrastructure, and escape routes. After months of preparation, you board for an ocean crossing of 3 to 4 weeks, completely guided by wind, weather, and the rhythm of the sea.
Once at sea, the ship becomes your entire world. You live and work with a small group of like-minded individuals, entirely reliant on what is on board and on each other. Everything that arises, you solve together. The duration, the isolation, and the fact that turning back is not an option make this a rare adventure that you do not experience in moments, but undergo - mile after mile, day after day, until you reach the other side.

The story of
this expedition
We depart from Europe and end up in the Caribbean. Between departure and arrival: 3 to 4 weeks of open ocean, depending on wind, weather, and route.
After more than six months of intensive preparation, you board an ocean-worthy sailing yacht with a small group of like-minded individuals. Under the guidance of an experienced ocean captain and ourX-Guidesyou cross the Atlantic Ocean - fully self-sufficient, day and night.
For several weeks, everything revolves around the watch system. Navigating, sailing, interpreting the weather, cooking, repairing - even at night, even when tired. Leadership does not emerge here in moments, but in sustained reliability.
The ocean reveals how you deal with fatigue, repetition, tension, and uncertainty. This is not a short adventure, but an experience that derives its impact from its duration.
You experience different weather systems: calm, rough seas, long swells. You learn to make decisions that do not yield immediate results but are crucial in the long term.
Self-sufficient -
for weeks
We live completely off-grid for weeks. Water, energy, and food are strictly managed. Small mistakes are immediately felt, thoughtful choices create calm. You learn to plan, anticipate, and adjust - not for today, but for tomorrow and the day after.
All of this takes place under the guidance of an experienced ocean captain with multiple Atlantic crossings, supported by professional X-Guides, a clear division of roles, and a preparation that encompasses everything.
Safety as
absolute priority
Safety forms the basis of every Atlantic Crossing expedition.
It is led by a certified ocean captain
with extensive experience in multi-week crossings. Our X-Guides are WFR certified and specialise in team dynamics under prolonged pressure.
Each expedition is equipped with satellite communication, AIS and GPS tracking, EPIRB and emergency signals, medical kits, clear emergency and evacuation procedures, and continuous weather and route analysis.
